More Visitors = WONDERFUL!

Yep, that's right, I've already had more visitors!! This time it was my mother and Chelsea and Sarah Sue once again! They actually stayed at our place this time which made it even more fun because it made it feel like even more of our own home by having people stay over on vacation!
This is our lovely sleeping conditions while they were in town.
Gosh we are too kind!
They got in late Wednesday night and stayed until Monday. Mother was ready to go straight to the grocery store though and loaded us up with a butt to the load of groceries. She is just too kind! The following day we did the usual, walk around the town so Mother could scope it out and ate at a few of my favorite resturants. The next day we saw an arts and crafts fair going on across the river so we drove on over and checked that out as well. Seeing our place from the other side of the river was real weird, it looks like crap!!

Lets be honest, this picture explains us much
better than the one above!

Saturday night we went on a Ghost Tour which was pretty interesting and fun! We walked all around the town while Tara the tour guide talked about all of the history of the town and the scary info! In the middle of one of the stories Chels leans over and says, "that's way sweet" and asks me a question about it and well.. I missed that whole story, I was in a complete zone haha but apparently there is a tunnel from the river that goes up to the Pirate House, which is a resturant now but use to be a boarding house for sailors. They built this so they wouldn't have to carry all of their stuff up the steep stairs or ramps that get you up to the city from River Street, which is what I live on. Anywho, later on, pirates found out about this tunnel and started to sneak in there and grab the sailors, drug them and take them back to their ship to where they would then wake and realize they were now pirates since once you step on their ship you become one. I do not know if the tunnel is still open or not but if it is, you bet your buttom dollar I'll be getting in there somehow! There were a lot more good stories like that one that I did not zone out on but that one was my favorite, so apparently Chels told it pretty well! Unfortunately I don't have any pictures of this because my camera doesn't have a flash so... check out my mothers blog for those! www.joans4andmore.blogspot.com
Then there was the beach!! Oh my favorite! If I could go there everyday, I would! And I will be able to soon since we are getting a car this weekend, yay!! It was Sarah Sues first time to the beach and at the beginning she didn't enjoy the sand on her toesies too much. Each time I tried to put her down she would hold her feet up as high as she could, it was adorable. She then realized how fantastic it really is and loved it the rest of the time!
A couple of weeks ago when Brynn and I went to the beach we saw some guys throwing a football back and forth and wanted to go join. We then noticed that they SUCKED at throwing and even catching, it was hilarious! Therefore we ended up bringing our own football this time. Much fun it was! And I'm pretty sure all the southern guys were checkin us out in awe that we can throw better than them, LOSERS!
The water was FREEZING but she loved it and kept crawling towards
it every time we put her down.

The next morning was time to say goodbye yet I was half asleep! I got awoken by my mother at 5 something telling me to go sleep by Sar until they were ready to leave. I then had to do my goodbyes all over again but it's getting a lot easier, especially since I'm not really an emotional kind of girl but then there's my mother, crying before I even got to her! What a little sweetheart, I mean I guess I understand since I'm her favorite and all, it's hard to see me go! Haha I'm hilarious! But seriously, thank you so much for coming out and visiting, we loved it! Love you!!

Hallelujah, Praise thee ALL NIGHTER!!

"Mmmhmm, you say it sister!" "Amen, amen!" "Hallelujah!" These are just a few of the many things Brynn and I heard on a Wednesday night. Eddie, who we work with, was kind enough to take us to his church, which is Baptist I believe, one night so we could see what it was like. He also agreed to come to our church one week since we went to his. I cannot wait to see his reaction of how.. quiet we are during our meetings.
Unfortunately we got there a little late because he had school so we missed the choir which was what I was most excited for. This night the Preachers wife was preaching instead. I really enjoyed her. For the most part they teach a lot of the same things, just in a different way. Some ways that got Brynn and I feeling a wee bit uncomfortable. It was nothing insane, just really different for us and for those of you who know us well, we laugh at anything, especially awkward moments! At one point in the meeting they asked for us to put our hands on our neighbors shoulders and pray for them. Eddie, who was next to Brynn, put his hand on her and began, along with everyone else in the room, praying out loud. No one was next to me so I leaned over to Brynn trying to force her to put her hand on me so no one else would come over because I would have just lost it! Unfortunately it was too late, Eddie finished with Brynn and moved on to me. I immediately put my hand on Brynn so it didn't look like I wouldn't follow what the others were doing to soon realize that she was shaking like crazy. I looked over at her and she was just dying of laughter with her head down, I could not control it and began to laugh as well!!
Throughout the whole meeting people would raise their hand/hands in agreements and I'd get so confused of why they wouldn't call on them so they could ask their questions. Haha yes I know I'm retarded but I'd forget each time and think, "gosh that's rude, they just want to ask something!" Many other things happened such as, the Preacher got up and would randomly call out peoples names and say that something good will happen to them or that he would like to pray for them and then have all of us reach our hands out towards that person as the Preachers wife whispered a pray in their ear. He would even bust out into song at random times and have us join in. It was really cool and fun and they all had super good voices! Once the service was over, everyone just started talking with one another. So many people came up to us, thanking us for coming, giving us huge hugs and welcoming
us back anytime. I loved it! They were all so kind!
All I have to say is if you ever get the chance to go to a different church, definitely take up on that opportunity. It is something that I will never forget and something I even learned from.
Speaking of something that I will never forget and most certainly learned from as well would be the all nighter we had the following night! Before we came out here we made a list of things we wanted to accomplish and of course an all nighter was on there!
Earlier that day I realized, after watching crappy channels for two weeks, that I could connect my itouch to my computer and stream off my mommy's netflix! It was a wonderful find! We ended up deciding to start the show, Lost! And it's fantastic. We were probably just barely into the second episode when Brynn said, "lets have an all nighter!" I was shocked! For those of you who don't know, Brynn loves her bedtime and usually heads to bed around 9ish but since we've been out here I've managed to slowly push it back but when she said, "all nighter" so soon, I was stunned! We questioned it for about five more seconds then ran down to the store and got, well.... I'll just show you!
Monster energy drinks!!
Yummy yummy in my tummy!!
Our delicious homemade treat that is fantastic!
Oreo, banana and peanut butter!
Trust me, just try it!
We literally watched Lost the whole entire night. Yes, some might say, why didn't you go out and party? Well, that's just not the way we roll!
(Yes, I did just throw this shirt on and take a picture of it just
for the blog since I just said it haha!)
The following day we had work bright and early and our boss, who lives in Atlanta was going to be in. We roll in right on time and he is already there. Brynn is dead! Then there's me, hyper as can be! I'm dancing all around the store, skipping down the streets
handing out coupons, just lovin' life!
Later in the day our boss goes out to take out some boxes to the trash. I decide it'd be quite funny to hide under the table and grab his leg as he goes on by. Brynn sets it up perfectly, placing more boxes right by the table so I can then grab! He comes in, picks up the box and I go for the reach..............and miss! All Brynn can see is my arm squirming trying to get him and she busted up laughing. Little did she know, as I was trying to stretch past a stupid bar, I ended up slamming my face into it making it impossible to reach him. I let out a huge snort but luckily he didn't hear over Brynn! He then just simply walks out and says goodbye for the day!
Later that night we decided it would be pretty epic if we made it a double all nighter! Pretty intense, yes I know! We start the night with a cruise around the town on the scoot while in our slippers, got quite the many comments on those bad boys. Got even more weird looks because of the weirdo that's hanging onto the back of me as she's waving like a homecoming queen (ha which she really was once!) to everyone we pass! My dearest Brynn gets quite delirious when she gets tired as you can tell. We then went to dinner and by then Brynn is basically falling asleep as we are eating. We finally make it back to our place and we get in one episode of Lost and Brynn calls it quits and is out! I managed to make it to 2am making it a solid 40 hours of no sleep. To do so, I did about an hour session of ab and leg workouts and a movie. The following day I somehow woke up at 9 though.
We ended up learning that we really enjoy taking random long naps and did so for the next several days, it took a good long time to recover! We also realized that no sleep equals our first fight... :( it was a sad moment in time but we got over it quite fast,
we were both just real tired!!

NOOO......YESS!!!!!!!!!!!

So lets get down to business since I got a lot to tell, especially since I slacked and missed last weeks update! So I'm beginning with the NOOO'S that started out the week. First off Pico died, then we went on our "first date" and to end it, I learned how much I dislike cobblestone!
On Monday it was really rainy so we didn't take Pico out that day. Tuesday morning came and we had the day off so we were ready to go cruise the town and explore. We jumped onto Pico but he wouldn't start. We tried to fix him forever but we couldn't, it was a very sad moment, especially since that ruined our plans of going to the beach. I then called Jeff, our Landlord who is also the guy we rent our scooter from to get him to fix it. He didn't come til the next day because he was out of town but he came over and started it on the first try. It was ridiculous! We still ending up trading it for a different one though because our speedometer and blinkers never worked.
Later that night we had our "first date" with Jeff, I say this because he is totally in love with Brynn! He text her that nigth asking how our scooter is working then asked what we were up to that night and it ended up him asking to go out to dinner. We both believe that he really just wanted it to be the two of them but he's like 40+ and creepy but nice and has the hook ups at resturants so we both went. It was so flipping awkward!! But the food was pretty delicious!
The following day was bleek, all we did was work then work out. Yes, that's right, work out!! Which leads me to the third NOO!! STUPID COBBLESTONE! It was Thursday and my Fas Jha (father) was flying in that night. I wanted to get my run in before he landed and be all showered and ready so I went running while Brynn was at work. I was on my last lap when a car pulled up next to me and kept the same speed as me as I'm running. I looked over at them trying to figure out what they were doing, I then turned back to look where I was heading and right as I do so, my toe hit a little bump and I biffed it! I caught myself and thought I was good but then continued to go back down, as this is happening the car is still next to me but now driving off, I finally catch myself again on my knuckles. I pushed myself back up and just continued running, laughing my head off finishing my last lap! Oh how I wish Brynn was with me!

This is the beautiful park I run around!

And this would be the stupid cobblestone
and my fat ugly fingers!

Fas' plane was a little tardy so we were just sitting around waiting for him to get in so we could go to dinner. Finally he called me saying he drove past the store but couldn't see my apartment. I then explained to him that we are behind the store and that I would go outside so he could find it easier. He was short with me on the phone and seemed kinda bugged and hung up. I waited outside til he pulled up because I couldn't wait to see him! He rolls down his window and asks where to park so I tell him, then I see some figure in the back seat. I'm thinkin, "who the crap is that?" I go up to the window and realize that it's Chels! I then see some weirdo with blonde hair trying to hide in the front seat and realize it's Quarter! Then it clicks and I see the carseat, it's my Sarah Sue.......YESSSS!!!!!! I was so surprised!! I had absolutely no idea they were coming! And this is where the good times begin!
Stinking Chelsea had been texting me all day, like we do everyday, telling me things she was doing, like going shopping and lunch with one of her friends to cover up for the time she was really flying and not texting me. Rodgers friend almost blew it by telling me that Cort was going out of town but then they got me to believe they were going to St. George for the weekend. I had no idea even after all the little hints!
My Fas rented a house which ended up being "haunted". We learned that after going on a wonderful tour of the town. She told us to take pictures and we would find orbs. She also told us that little kids sense them a lot better. Later that night little Sarah Sue was crawling around and then just stopped and pointed at this vent for quite some time. I decided to take a picture to catch those creepy orbs and this is what I got.

You have to look closely but the vent in both pictures goes really blurry
and also adds a little glow. Keep in mind my camera doesn't have a flash!
Just a walk in the park!
There are a bunch of squares throughout the town that have
statues and such in the middle of them.
Fas couldn't resist not wearing my glasses!

Quarter (Cortney) is much better at taking pictures than me. I just hate always having my camera out so those are the little amount of pictures I took but if you'd like to see more, continue on to her blog, rodgerandcortney.blogspot.com, her blog is private so if she hasn't invited you then my apologies! She hasn't updated her blog yet but promises it will be up by the end of this week.
Thank you so much for coming and visiting me, it was absolutely fantastic!! Minus saying goodbye yet again but still totally worth it! I love you guys!
